Advertising SNAP/Food Stamps Benefits

24 Apr

This is going to sound awful, but is anyone besides me oddly disturbed by the new advertisements for SNAP?  I don’t want anyone to lack proper nutrition, but now we have to ADVERTISE to add people to our welfare roles?  We have a marketing program to increase our spending on welfare?  And perhaps especially now, when WE HAVE NO MONEY, when increased welfare payments simply increases our annual deficit and national debt?

I sure hope we find the resolve to address our deficit and debt issues before the ratings firms and the global markets combine to address them for us — that won’t be pretty.

Thanks for visiting — and commenting. Civil comments are always welcome, whether for or against. I’m open to debating anything. Find the holes in what is presented here and challenge them.
